How do I get rid of our annoying bird that my wife has?

My wife has a cockatail bird that chirps all the time. We don’t want it anymore. I have tried looking for suggestions on the Internet but all I can find is companies on the Internet similiar to Pest control companies for birds. Does anyone have any ideas?
