I’ve had pest control come 4 times, I have tried liquid bait, ant traps, bug be gone around the outside of the house…. nothing is working. They are staying primarily in my kitchen pantry area…I have nothing left in the cupboards…what else can I do?

I do not have the money to invest in professional pest control, therefore what is some DIY solutions to getting rid of ants for as long as possible?

I know that I can buy those little ant traps, but there has to be something out there that is more useful.

Little ones. Black. Meat eaters, no sweets. Completely cleaned out cabinets. They come back. Have used ant traps, the sweet mix, everything the man at the do-it-yourself pest control place had. Used everything over-the-counter. No good. Took the kitchen apart, can’t find any food sources. They not on stove or in that area. Checked foundation areas, block house. Can’t figure where they’re getting in. Clean not an issue, wipe counters with bleach water and mop floors every night. Will appreciate any suggestions.

We have carpenter ants and pest control is not working. they put down ant bait over a week ago and the ants are still coming in as they were before the ant bait. we have a very clean home and food is stored properly. We wipe our counters down with clorox clean-up and they just show up somewhere else in the house like a clothes sloset or the laundry room. someone said that we should try equal sugar substitute and the aspartame kills them. does this work? and are there any other suggestions? The ants are relentless and i’m getting very frustrated
